Summary

What if you could fix almost any broken Nintendo Switch 2? This project took 11 broken consoles, averaging $229 each, and aimed to repair them. Seven were just tablets, four were full retail bundles. Initial issues varied: one wouldn't charge or power on, another had screen issues, and one had a cracked screen but otherwise worked. Several units showed no power or charging issues, diagnosed later as shorts on the motherboard. Fixing these often involved replacing capacitors, and in one case, a battery charger chip. One console had a headphone jack obstruction that turned out to be a disconnected cable. The biggest challenge was screen replacements for the units with cracked or damaged displays, as new screens are expensive or hard to find. Ultimately, all 11 broken Switch 2s were repaired, demonstrating common failure points like shorted capacitors and the importance of thorough board testing.
